We Must Know the Fallacy Of the Doctrine of Repentance and Throw It Away by Our Own Accord
<
Galatians 6:1-10 >
“Brethren,
if a man is overtaken in any trespass,
you who are spiritual restore such a one
in a spirit of gentleness, considering
yourself lest you also be tempted. Bear
one another’s burdens, and so fulfill
the law of Christ. For if anyone thinks
himself to be something, when he is nothing,
he deceives himself. But let each one
examine his own work, and then he will
have rejoicing in himself alone, and not
in another. For each one shall bear his
own load. Let him who is taught the word
share in all good things with him who
teaches. Do not be deceived, God is not
mocked; for whatever a man sows, that
he will also reap. For he who sows to
his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption,
but he who sows to the Spirit will of
the Spirit reap everlasting life. And
let us not grow weary while doing good,
for in due season we shall reap if we
do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have
opportunity, let us do good to all, especially
to those who are of the household of faith.”
The background of the times when the Apostle Paul had recorded
Galatians is as follows. Because there were Judaic circumcisionists within the
churches of Galatia, they had confused the faith of those who believed in the
true gospel of the water and the Spirit. In short, there was an urgent need
for him to rebuild their faith of believing in the gospel of the water and the
Spirit. This is why the Apostle Paul said, “For I neither received it from
man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ”
(Galatians 1:12). And also, regarding the faith in which he believes, he
said, “Paul, an apostle (not from men nor through man, but through Jesus
Christ and God the Father who raised Him from the dead)” (Galatians 1:1).
To rebuild the broken faith of Galatian believers, he had to
make them discern the true gospel from the false one of the circumcisionists.
The Apostle Paul said that the gospel that he possessed was not from men, but
was only from God. The Apostle Paul confessed that he was nailed to the Cross
with Christ and was resurrected with Christ. By saying, “For as many of you
as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ” (Galatians 3:27),
the Apostle Paul tells us in general that the faith of believing in the gospel
of the water and the Spirit is the faith that enables us to be baptized spiritually
in Christ.
When we are reading Galatians, we must first understand the
circumstances of the Galatian churches back then, and we must know that it is
speaking to us about the erroneous faith of those who advocated physical circumcision.
Their erroneous faith has continued on down to this day and age. Its modern
manifestation is the doctrine of repentance, which says that one can receive
cleansing of one’s sins through prayers of repentance, but Paul is saying that
that faith is erroneous.
We must know that the gospel that Paul was preaching is the
gospel of the water and the Spirit. Thus, whoever wants to meet Jesus Christ
the Savior will have to know and believe in the gospel of the water and the
Spirit. Only when we believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit, can
we die with Jesus Christ and be brought back to a new life with Jesus Christ.
And, as for those who believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit, they
can lead a life of true faith by following that gospel.
While preaching sermons on the Word of Galatians, I have come
to realize that those of us who believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit
are the recipients of a great spiritual blessing from God. Numerous people who
lead a life of faith in Christianity in this day and age believe that their
sins would be cleansed by offering prayers of repentance. But, I have also come
to realize more clearly that such faith is greatly mistaken. So, I planned to
publish these books on Galatians so that today’s Christians will be awakened
from their erroneous faith by illuminating them with examples of legalistic
faith that had existed in the Early Church era.
For us to spread the faith of the gospel of the water and the
Spirit like this and to be able to correct people’s erroneous faith is in itself
an extremely great work. If God hadn’t recorded the Book of Galatians, we would
not have known how erroneous the doctrine of repentance is today. If it were
not for the Word of Galatians, we would not have been able to point out the
erroneous faith of those who believe that their sins are cleansed by their prayers
of repentance. If not for Galatians, we would not have been able to lead so
many people on the correct path by the faith of believing in the gospel of the
water and the Spirit. It is so fortunate that we possess the Word of Truth to
precisely judge what is right and what is wrong.
We must know the real gospel Truth of the water and the Spirit. The doctrine of repentance, which insists that a person can receive the cleansing of sins by offering prayers of repentance, is a greatly mistaken dogma. Taking the erroneous faith of the circumcisionists as an example, the Apostle Paul kindly speaks to those of us today about the inconsistencies of the prayer of repentance. How fortunate we are to have the Apostle Paul accurately point out and speak about the inconsistencies of the prayer of repentance. The teachings in Galatians enable us to require much less effort to spread the gospel of the water and the Spirit. Galatians allows us to discover the mistaken faith of those who believe in this day and age that one can receive the remission of sins by offering prayers of repentance by accurately pointing out the mistaken faith of circumcisionists in those days. By having the same faith that Paul had, we are able speak today to those Christians who possess the erroneous faith of the prayer of repentance about the inconsistencies of their faith.
It is said in the last chapter of Ecclesiastes, “Of
making many books there is no end, and much study is wearisome to
the flesh” (Ecclesiastes 12:12), and this is really true. This
is because literature is something that must come to an end within
limited passages after being written. When I preach a sermon at
the pulpit, I can change the topic immediately no matter how illogical
it is. But that's okay because the congregation can fully understand
what I am saying without any supplementary explanation. However,
literature is something that has a strict format and can accurately
express what needs to be conveyed. Otherwise, the original purport
of the message is prone to change. This is why the literature ministry
is an arduous job. Yet, because such literature ministries are necessary,
we are making literatures to preach the gospel more effectively.
Literature ministries are immensely beneficial to the spreading
of the gospel of the water and the Spirit that we do. Literature
ministry is an important tool to the spreading of the gospel of
the water and the Spirit. And, I am exceedingly happy and thankful
of the fact that God has entrusted you and me with this work. Knowing
that literature ministries are beneficial to the spreading of the
gospel, we cannot neglect this work, and we give thanks to God even
more for having entrusted us with this work.
Resting fields are lands that aren’t being used for farming
by people. As it is said, “Ill weeds grow apace,” there are many weeds in a
resting field. If one wants to cultivate a resting field, the person must weed
the field first, and then, sow the field, give water, and fertilize the soil
to allow the plants to grow. Similar to this, if we were to spread the gospel
of the water and the Spirit to everyone all over the world, we cannot just plant
the gospel of the water and the Spirit into the completely ruined fields of
people’s hearts. The reason is because if we were to sow seeds of life of the
gospel of the water and the Spirit on top of it, no matter how good the seeds
may be, they will all just die because the hearts of the people are like resting
fields. Even in the realm of true faith, one must weed out the erroneous faith
first, and then, sow the seeds of the gospel of the water and the Spirit on
top of it. Up until now we have taken such steps and have spread the gospel
of the water and the Spirit all over the world in a very orderly fashion.
We have published first ten titles in the basic gospel series.
The last two volumes in this series are about the sermons on the Tabernacle.
Through this series, we have witnessed that the gospel that came by the water,
the blood, and the Spirit is the real Truth. But there is a constant need to
point out the spiritual weeds that have grown in people’s hearts. We must speak
concretely about how and what is wrong with the faith that current Christians
possess, and only by doing so, they can come back to the right faith by acknowledging
that it has validity. Therefore, we have to witness the gospel of the water
and the Spirit in the language of each race and each nation to tell them first
about how their faith went wrong.
When we are imparting the gospel of the water and the Spirit
to them, it is wise to speak to them in minute detail about their erroneous
faith. It is possible for someone’s deeds to go wrong, but because the faith
of believing in the gospel of the water and the Spirit is so fundamental, it
must not go wrong. I am now speaking about the false faith of those who are
trying to receive the remission of sins by thoroughly offering prayers of repentance.
Also, I am speaking about how the erroneous faith that they possess keeps them
from receiving forgiveness from their sins before God.
Their faith is legalistic and wrong because it is the same
faith as that of the circumcisionists among Galatians, who said that one had
to receive physical circumcision to become a people of God. We have to tell
everyone about the false doctrine of the prayer of repentance and admonish them
to throw it away, and then sow the seed of the gospel of the water and the Spirit
into the people who have accepted our admonishment. By doing so, the seeds can
be properly planted, buds will come out, and bring forth their fruit in season.
Although this work that we do is arduous, when we look at the fruits produced
by our endeavor, we cannot but thank God.
Because we can see the roots of the true faith and the false
faith when we read Galatians, it is a great help to our life of faith. With
the teachings of Galatians, our faith is reinforced from its foundation. Dear
fellow believers, no matter how impatient our character may be, when we are
building a house, we first dig to make a foundation and then build the house
on top of it. When people build houses, they either lay bricks or erect pillars
after they have made the foundation strong. Like building houses in this way,
there is an order to the spreading of God’s gospel of the water and the Spirit.
Preachers of the gospel should not just carelessly spread it,
but rather, they should impart it in an orderly fashion so that people can understand
it fully. Those who are spreading the gospel of the water and the Spirit should
preach it in an orderly fashion, starting from basic teachings. I am saying
that we must change the faith or the hearts of the others, step by step. To
do this, first, we must have sufficient knowledge of the Bible; second, we must
give an explanation appropriate for those who listen; third, we must teach them
accurately and in minute detail so that they are be able to understand well;
then, we must wait for them to throw away the erroneous faith on their own and
to return to the gospel of the water and the Spirit. Also, we have to accept
them with brotherly love so that they can unite with the predecessors in the
church of God, and we must constantly share the faith of believing in the truth
with the others and guide them well.
I am so glad that we are able to do such work. I am thankful
because God has allowed progress in the spreading of the gospel of the water
and the Spirit, and I am thankful of the fact that God is doing such work for
us through His church.
Restore the Faith of Those Who Have False
Faith
Let us all read together Galatians chapter 6 verse 1. “Brethren,
if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a
one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted.”
In Galatians chapter 6, the Apostle Paul goes on to finish
his admonishment. He has correctly pointed out the erroneous faith of the circumcisionists
and now, he summarizes once more. In his heart, the Apostle Paul is bearing
in mind the people who persist on circumcision. That is why he said, “Brethren,
if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a
one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted.”
We should not try to drive out such people. Rather, we should bring the
erroneous parts of their faith to their attention and advise them to believe
correctly by teaching them the Truth.
And, he also said, “Consider yourself lest you also be tempted.”
It is because whoever it may be, all of us could go wrong. In actuality, if
it were the case that God hadn’t given His Word in His Church to the saints,
their faith could go wrong without exception. Actually, insufficiencies of people’s
deeds are not the problem. The greatest wrong before God is the spreading of
false faith by distorting the Word of God. Whoever that may be, it could be
the case that a person could incorrectly convey God’s Word by adding on his
or her own thoughts or by having false knowledge because he or she does not
apprehend the gospel of the water and the Spirit while looking at God’s Word.
In doing so, one could preach the gospel of one’s own making. As a result, the
true gospel of the water and the Spirit will fade away by such false preachers.
Even now, when we are preaching the true gospel of the water
and the Spirit vigorously all over the world, so many false preachers still
teach wrongly and stand against the Lord of the Truth. But, God does not want
to leave such people as they are. That is why God has His servants stand in
the church of God and he prevents the false teachers from distorting the gospel
of Truth. He bestows the gospel of the water and the Spirit on His servants,
by giving them knowledge and enlightenment. In doing so, God leads His church
to move spiritually in the right direction, and he allows the gospel of the
water and the Spirit to be conveyed to all people properly.
As the Apostle Paul said, “Bear one another’s burdens, and
so fulfill the law of Christ” (Galatians 6:2), we must bear each other’s
burdens. We must correct one another if something is wrong, and by doing so
and we will unite one another and fulfill the law of the love in Christ. To
do this, we must have true fellowship of faith in the gospel of the water and
the Spirit. We must help many souls receive salvation from their sins, so they
can spread the gospel to others so that all the people in the world will receive
salvation. What Paul means by “bear one another’s burdens” is that we should
devote ourselves to the spreading of the gospel of the water and the Spirit
so that people will be able to receive the remission of sins, and that we should
lead the saints to a right direction so that there would not be any quarrel
in the church of God.
In Galatians chapter 6 verse 3, the Apostle Paul said, “For
if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself.”
To think that we are fully grown spiritually even though there is nothing
advanced in our faiths is to lie to ourselves.
In the Early Church era, the circumcisionists were teaching
sheer nonsense, for example that one would join the people of God by receiving
physical circumcision. The Apostle Paul said, “For as many of you as were
baptized into Christ have put on Christ” (Galatians 3:27). Compared to Paul’s
faith, the faith of those who advocate the physical circumcision is truly nothing.
Abraham became a righteous person and had his faith approved by God because
he had believed in the Word of God. His faith was accepted not because he had
received circumcision in the flesh.
There is evidence that people became God’s people by truly
believing in God’s Word, and that is what is called spiritual circumcision.
When God commanded Abraham to receive circumcision, it could be interpreted
as circumcision in the flesh, but in actuality, God was speaking about “circumcision
of the heart” (Romans 2:29). Spiritual circumcision is cutting off sins
in one’s heart exactly by the gospel of the water and the Spirit given to us
by Jesus Christ. That is the true faith of spiritual circumcision. Therefore,
the faith, which says that one would become people of God by receiving physical
circumcision and not through the gospel of the water and the Spirit, is an erroneous
belief. And also, we must understand that today’s prevailing belief that one
would receive the remission of sins by offering prayers of repentance is also
something erroneous.
Also, if anyone should think he or she is a righteous person
when he or she is nothing, the person must now obediently accept again the gospel
of the water and the Spirit, and be born again as a completely new person in
this true gospel. Such a person must pass over all his or her sins to Jesus
Christ by the faith of believing in the baptism that Jesus had received from
John, and must be brought back to life together with Christ to become one of
God’s people.
People today are lying to themselves by saying that they have
received the remission of sins by offering prayers of repentance and believing
only in the blood of Jesus Christ on the Cross. This is a big problem in today’s
Christianity. Now, such faiths should be thrown away by one’s own will. Such
faith is a faith by which one cannot become a righteous person. When one relies
only on the sacred blood of the Cross, the erroneous belief that one receives
the cleansing of sins by offering prayers of repentance will automatically follow.
If one were to believe only in the sacred blood of Jesus, that person cannot
but make an effort to attempt to receive the remission of one’s own sins since
the person wasn’t able to pass over his or her sins to Jesus Christ through
the baptism that Jesus received.
If we do not believe that all our sins have been transferred
over to Jesus when He had received the baptism from John the Baptist, it would
forever be impossible to receive the remission of sins. If you were to realize
the gospel of the water and the Spirit, you would be realizing this: “Ah, all
my sins were transferred over when Jesus had received the baptism from John!”
If you were to believe only in the blood of the Cross without knowing about
the gospel of the water and the Spirit, you would have to offer prayers of repentance
everyday to cleanse your sins. Also, by such faith, one would become a person
of false faith who believes in the doctrine of sanctification, which says that
a person would go on being sanctified little by little and that the person would
be sanctified thoroughly upon his or her deathbed.
You must know why Christianity today has become so dark and
why it has become a spiritual darkness. It is because most Christians currently
believe that they are cleansing their personal sins by offering prayers of repentance
everyday while believing only in the blood on the Cross. They turned spiritually
dark because they falsely know and believe that they will gradually reach sanctification
and that they will become perfectly sinless when they go before God. What is
worse is that they don’t even think that their faith could possibly be wrong.
Faith of such people is a failed faith that does not accomplish anything. Such
faith is a faith that God cannot approve.
One can never be saved from sins if the person only relies
on the faith of one’s own making without having faith in the Truth that God
has delivered all sinners with the gospel of the water and the Spirit. Because
today’s Christianity has created faith on their own, it becomes darker and darker
spiritually, even though many chapel buildings have been built and the number
of Christians has been increasing. Therefore, even in Christian nations, Christianity
has no influence over the society. It cannot change people’s hearts, and nothing
has been changed through the activities of Christians. Look everyone - aren’t
the deeds of Christians and non-Christians the same? Because Christians today
believe in something other than the gospel of the water and the Spirit, Christianity
cannot display any ability, and the age of darkness continues.
Christians today who believe only in the blood of the Cross
and rely on the prayer of repentance must realize that they haven’t become anything
and they must instead believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit. Such
Christians weren’t able to gain any spiritual improvements so far. Also, Christians
who think that they have received the perfect remission of sins by simply believing
in the blood of the Cross haven’t become anything. We must discern the true
gospel from the gospel of non-truth. All of them should receive salvation from
all sins by believing in the gospel of the water and the Spirit.
Let’s read verses 4 and 5 in chapter 6 of Galatians. “But
let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself
alone, and not in another. For each one shall bear his own load.”
When we think before God, we must examine our own
work. We have to ask ourselves as follows: “Did we really receive
the remission of sins before God?” “Were our sins really transferred
when Jesus Christ received the baptism from John Baptist?” “Did
we pass on the sins to Jesus by the faith of believing in the gospel
of the water and the Spirit?” If we can say "yes" concretely
to every question above, we have received salvation by truly believing
in the gospel of the water and the Spirit, and then we can have
rejoicing in ourselves alone, not in another.
Also, as it is said that each one shall bear one’s own load,
salvation from sins is something that one has to receive on his or her own,
and the work of God is also something that one has to do on his or her own.
How can there be someone who could believe in the gospel of the water and the
Spirit on your behalf? There is no one.
The Bible says that the prayer of repentance is wrong, but
there are only a small number of people who actually repent and turn around
from their evil deeds by faith while properly perceiving this knowledge. However,
many Christians still do not throw away the faith in the doctrine of repentance
on one’s own despite knowing that one cannot receive the remission of sins by
offering prayers of repentance. Such people will not be able to receive the
remission of sins in the end. Still, many people want to know the gospel of
the water and the Spirit, but because they refuse throw away their prior erroneous
knowledge, they cannot receive the true salvation. Even though you don’t believe
in the gospel of the water and the Spirit, you may say in front of others that
you have received salvation from sins, but as far as your conscience is concerned,
you cannot say that to yourselves. People realize that they have nothing to
boast to one’s own self about because the conscience of a sinner tells his or
her soul, “You are still a sinner.”
That is why Christians throughout the world must turn around from
their erroneous faith, which says that a person can receive cleansing
of sins by offering prayers of repentance. One has to turn around
to a correct way so that there will be something to boast about
to one’s own self. One must be able to say, “Not considering any
other things, I believe at least in the gospel of the water and
the Spirit. The gospel of the water and the Spirit is the true gospel
and anything else is a false gospel.” “Anyone who spreads anything
other than the gospel of the water and the Spirit is completely
wrong! Only this gospel of the water and the Spirit is the Truth.
Although I am lacking in my deeds, I can boast about Jesus Christ
because I at least believe in this.” As such, we must know and believe.
People of faith should be able to boast to themselves about their
faith of believing in the gospel of the water and the Spirit, which
God has given to them as a gift. We can be proud of the gospel of
the water and the Spirit only when we have a strong belief in the
truth that the gospel of the water and the Spirit is the only true
gospel.
Do you believe that the gospel of the water and the Spirit
is the Truth? Do you believe that the doctrine of repentance is wrong? Do you
know for certain that the faith of the ability to receive the remission of sins
only by the blood of the Cross is wrong?
Truth is so clear. The gospel of the water and the Spirit that
we believe is the Truth, but knowing why the prayer of repentance is wrong is
also a knowing the real truth. As the Apostle Paul said out of anxiety that
one would go to hell if one were to believe that a person would have to receive
the circumcision in the flesh to receive salvation, the servants of God today
are also saying out of anxiety, “Believe in the prayer of repentance and you
will receive the curse.”
When we look at people’s hearts, we find them empty and void.
It is also written in the Bible that people’s hearts are void and hollow. As
God had said, “The earth was without form, and void” (Genesis 1:2), there
was nothing concrete even in the hearts of those who believe in Jesus. Legalistic
Christians were truly desolate people, because they don’t have the faith of
believing in the gospel of the water and the Spirit. We cannot find the Truth
of the gospel of the water and the Spirit in their hearts.
Once, there was a time when I had lamented because I felt a
void in my heart. I could not fill the void of my heart no matter how fervently
I had relied on the prayers of repentance. Lamenting didn’t do anything, so
I came to look for the truth that would resolve the void. In the end, I found
the gospel of the water and the Spirit in the Word of God, and when I believed
in that truth, the void in my heart disappeared completely. Whoever it may be,
the gospel of the water and the Spirit is the Truth that one must encounter
before going to God.
Today, among people who believe in Jesus as the Savior, there
are those who go on living with voids in their hearts due to their sins. Long
ago, there was a gospel singer I liked. I once heard him singing praise on TV,
and lyrics of his gospel songs were immensely good. But not long ago, I heard
the sad news that he had committed a suicide. Despite the fact that he had spoken
about salvation and had sung beautiful songs of praise to others, there was
no real Truth of salvation in his heart. He had committed suicide because he
felt this void because there was no gospel Truth of the water and the Spirit
inside his heart.
All of us should believe with ours heart that Jesus Christ
who came by the gospel of the water and the Spirit is the Savior. We must believe
that only the gospel of the water and the Spirit is the real Truth of salvation
that God has given to all of us. Therefore, we must possess the knowledge of
the gospel of the water and the Spirit and the also faith of believing in that
gospel Truth. Listen. The faith of believing only in the blood of the Cross
today is like having a faith that rejects the baptism that Jesus had received
from John. Similarly the faith of believing only in the blood of the Cross necessarily
brings about the doctrine of repentance. Christians today also believe in the
doctrine of sanctification, but you must know that this is also very wrong.
Among the faiths of believing in only the blood of the Cross, what proper faith
is there? Some theologians said that God had chosen some people and some not.
Isn’t this doctrine wrong?
If we make a mistake buttoning the first button on a shirt,
all the following buttons will be misplaced. The gospel of the Cross that most
Christians solely believe in is like the wrongly fastened first button in Christian
history. All the Christian doctrines are the offspring of this false gospel.
You must understand that if you do not properly know that the today’s Christian
doctrines are wrong, your faith will fall into the false faith.
In the early 16th century, Martin Luther strongly
criticized the irrationality of the Vatican, which was saying that one would
receive cleansing of sins if one were to purchase an indulgence. This caused
the Reformation that put an end to the Middle Ages. But, he did not spread the
gospel of the water and the Spirit. He only gave an opportunity for the Reformation.
Other Reformists arose in Western Europe countries, but we cannot find any evidence
that they had preached the genuine truth about the gospel of the water and the
Spirit. Therefore, although many countries underwent the Reformation, there
weren’t any believers of the gospel of the water and the Spirit to spread the
true faith.
Some religious bodies advocate transubstantiation, but this
is also of a false faith. Jesus said in the Gospel of John chapter 6 verse 55,
“For My flesh is food indeed.” Our Lord said that His own flesh is the
food for our life. This is because Jesus took on the sins of the world once
and for all through the baptism received from John the Baptist, vicariously
died on the Cross, resurrected from death, and became our savior. The Lord said
that His flesh is the food of life due to the fact that the Lord had blotted
out our sins by the gospel of the water and the Spirit. Thus, the doctrine of
transubstantiation, which teaches that Christ is present in the Eucharist by
the transformation of the substance of bread and wine into His body and blood,
is completely wrong. It is not the case that we receive the food of life by
eating bread and drinking wine when we perform communion services.
When the disciples of Jesus asked Him, “What shall we do, that
we may do the works of God?” the Lord answered, “This is the work
of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent” (John 6:29). To believe in
He who was sent by God the Father is to do the works of God. Who is He that
was sent by God the Father? He is the very Jesus Christ. What did Jesus Christ
do after coming down to this earth? He saved us perfectly by receiving the baptism
from John the Baptist, by shedding His holy blood to death on the Cross, and
by resurrecting from the dead. Believing that He, Jesus Christ, took on our
sins by receiving the baptism from John and then saved us by dying on the Cross
while carrying on His back the sins of the world is doing exactly the work of
God. Therefore, we must first believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit.
Do you believe this?
Dear fellow believers, if you believe in the gospel of the
water and the Spirit in your hearts, you would have something to boast about
in the hearts of each one of you. But if you don’t believe, there wouldn’t be
anything to boast about. That is why each person has to know and believe in
Jesus Christ who came by the gospel of the water and the Spirit as the Savior
on one’s own. Because you cannot know the false doctrines or the words of swindlers
on your own, God taught you what the non-truth is through His servants. But,
whether or not you know and believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit
is entirely up to you.
We Must Unite with the Believers of the
Gospel of the Water and the Spirit
The Apostle Paul said in Galatians 6:6, “Let him who is
taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches.”
If a servant of God believes in the gospel of the water and
the Spirit and teaches the Word of God, those who are taught should unite with
the leader in heart. If we who are being taught do not model after the heart
of the one who teaches us, we won’t be able to share good things with our leader.
It is certainly not the case that we become children of God
by only receiving circumcision in the flesh. We must also know the truth that
trying to receive the remission of sins by offering prayers of repentance is
a mistaken belief. You must throw away the faith in such false doctrine. We
must hold on tight to the gospel of the water and the Spirit inside our hearts
and believe in it. However, we must not become a disbeliever in front of the
God-given Truth by saying, “I don’t think like that.” We must make a choice
between the Truth and the non-truth.
We must accept and obey by faith the fact that God has put
His servants inside His Church. A true spiritual leader is someone who preaches
the gospel of the water and the Spirit, and someone who does not preach this
gospel is a fraud. Know that it is God who had appointed the leader who preaches
the gospel of the water and the Spirit to you. Do you believe this? No matter
how lacking I am, God has put me up before you. It’s not because I am smart.
But, because God had given me the gospel of the water and the Spirit, I am able
to do the works of God, teach the Word of God, and become the leader of the
church of God and of our mission organization.
If I believe and deliver the gospel of the water and the Spirit,
you should accept and believe me as your leader. Also, if I who believe and
deliver the gospel of the water and the Spirit say, “Prayer of repentance is
wrong,” you should know and believe this so. That is truly the right faith.
The Apostle Paul, the leader of God’s Church in his days, had spread the gospel
of the water and the Spirit, but some people said that one would become people
of God if one were to receive physical circumcision. Is their faith right? The
Apostle Paul said that such people are wrong.
The Apostle Paul said, “Let him who is taught the word share
in all good things with him who teaches” (Galatians 6:6). If so, what are
the good things that the one who teaches has? They are to believe in the gospel
of the water and the Spirit, to refrain from believing in the false doctrines,
and to follow the will of God, even if they are lacking. We must do these things
together. We should share with our leader all good things of him, but should
not do bad things together with the leader. It is an outright statement, but
there are many who do not obey this teaching. There are many who believe arbitrarily
on their own. Yet, can faith grow by believing like that? It cannot grow.
Dear fellow believers, why do you go to school? If you are
going to school to study books on your own and refuse to listen to teachers’
words why do you go to school? If you are going to do that, it is better to
go to a reading room or an academy and study there. The reason why there are
teachers is that they have learned first and are able to lead you as a guide.
It is easily understood if one who is learning first receives guidance from
the guide, then once it is learned, that person would be able to do it on one’s
own from then on. Teachers also show their students the right path when they
are on the verge of going astray.
As teachers are needed in school, servants of God are needed
in the church of God. If there is no leader, spiritual death will soon come.
If there is no leader, the saints will be spiritually swindled and robbed of
all spiritual and physical possessions. We can learn such a good lesson from
the Book of Judges. When God put a judge for His people of Israel, they kept
their faith and were protected safely under the leadership of the judge. But,
when there was no judge, they went astray spiritually and were deprived of their
lives and properties by the Gentiles who were around.
Therefore, it is good to be in the church of God together with
a leader who teaches God’s Word. There has to be a leader to lead each group;
the elderly group, the junior high and high school group, the women’s group,
and the youth group. In each church there also has to be a leader. It is because
sheep would quickly suffer death if there were no leader.
It is a good thing that we have a nation. Would it be better
not to have one? Of course, having a government is good. Dear fellow believers,
think about the state of anarchy. If we were in a state of anarchy, there wouldn’t
be any order in our daily life, no social norms, and truly, only the law of
the jungle will reign. That is why Plato said that it is better to have a government
that is evil than to have no government at all. In a country, there are people,
and there has to be a leader to guide that country. As is the case that a president
who protects his people’s welfare is good, there has to a leader in the church
of God.
If the flock of sheep in the church of God does not recognize
their leader, they would be like spiritual orphans. There can’t be any blessing
of God given to such people. I am not saying these things to impress into your
mind the fact that I am the leader, but rather, I am saying to you that there
has to be a leader appointed by God for the faith of the saints to grow and
lead a life of faith in the church of God. I affirm that if there is no leader
in one’s heart, the person’s faith will never be able to grow.
Dear fellow believers, do you disbelieve the leader of the
church of God, and do you have thoughts of dragging him down and taking over
that position for yourself? Such thoughts are thoughts of opposing God.
In today’s Scripture passage, God told us that one who is taught
the Word shares in all good things with him who teaches. He told us to share
good things and not to follow bad things. Then, what are good things that a
leader has? First, it is good to believe in the gospel of the water and the
Spirit. What would happen if I were to believe in other gospels even though
I believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit? You would only be able
to follow as such and you would perish from such false faith. That is why it
is said that the disciples of Jesus had considered things learned from the world
as something like excrements. After believing in the gospel of the water and
the Spirit and having come to know the Truth, Christians who have falsely believed
in Jesus so far, should throw away all false doctrines of Christianity by considering
them as if they were excrements.
If you could recognize me as the leader who believes in and
spreads the gospel of the water and the Spirit, then you are blessed people.
You are taking part in good things along with someone who teaches the gospel
of the water and the Spirit. If you do not believe in the leader and doubt him,
or if you do not believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit, you will
not be able to share in the good things together.
In Galatians chapter 6 verse 7, the Apostle Paul said, “Do
not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also
reap.”
Dear fellow believers, one must not deceive oneself. We must
not lie to ourselves about whether we believe in the gospel of the water and
the Spirit or if we believe in a different gospel. It is said that God is not
mocked. It means that God does not allow people to ridicule or sneer Him.
“If you were to believe in the gospel of the water and the
Spirit, you have received salvation, and by doing so, you are My child.” If
you believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit and say to God, “Father,”
God will accept by saying, “Yes, I am your Father.” On the other hand, if those
who don’t believe in this gospel Truth say, “God the Father,” He would say,
“Are you mocking Me? How can I be the Father of a sinner?” That is why the Apostle
Paul said, “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked.” God is never someone
to be ridiculed.
Galatians 6:8 states, “For he who sows to his flesh will
of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit
reap everlasting life.”
What do we sow? Dear fellow believers, we must sow our faith.
What kind of faith should we sow? It means that we must sow the faith of believing
in the gospel of the water and the Spirit. That in turn is telling us that we
must not sow on our own the faith that we have created by ourselves. It is said
that people who believe in the God-given gospel of the water and the Spirit
will reap everlasting life from the Spirit and that those who sow for one’s
own flesh will reap corruption.
The Apostle Paul is now saying to today’s circumcisionists
not to deceive themselves. Do you believe that you will become the people of
God by receiving circumcision? As that is not the case, God speaks to those
who believe in the doctrine of repentance to not lie to themselves. Sins don’t
go away by offering prayers of repentance. Christians think that by not offering
prayers of repentance is a heresy, but they know well for themselves that sins
don’t disappear, no matter how fervently they offer prayers of repentance. Because
they have no other way to make the sins go away, they rely on prayers of repentance.
They need prayers of repentance because they believe only in the blood of the
Cross, but if they were to believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit,
why would they need prayers of repentance? It wouldn’t be necessary. It is because
all the sins of the world have already been transferred by the gospel of the
water and the Spirit.
People who believe only in the blood of the Cross are the same
as those who lie to themselves and mock God. God isn’t someone who gets ridiculed
by people’s mockery, but it means that if people were to lie to themselves,
they would be someone who ridicules God unintentionally. If a person, who is
not a child of God, were to call out, “God the Father,” it would be like saying,
“You are the Father of a person headed for hell.” Would God answer the call
of such a person? Therefore, we must first believe in the gospel of the water
and the Spirit and become true children of God. And, only when we have become
children of God, can we address God as the Father and return glory and praise
to Him, rather than mockery.
A Man Reaps What He Sows
If one were to believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit,
that person would gain salvation, earn eternal life, become a child of God,
and receive abundant blessings from God. However, if one were to offer prayers
of repentance, believing only in the blood of the Cross rather than the true
gospel of the water and the Spirit, that person would receive curses from God,
fall into destruction, and go to hell. People reap what they have sown. So,
what do we need to sow? We have to sow the faith from above. If we believe in
the Word of God, we must believe in it with the same faith that God’s servant
has in His Word. By doing so, we would be receiving the same blessing.

In Galatians chapter 6 verses 9 and 10, the Apostle Paul said,
“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap
if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to
all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.”
Dear fellow believers, if we were to unite together by faith
and do the work of the gospel, people would be receiving salvation. To think
about people who believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit rising throughout
the world, we don’t really get fatigued.
Also, we must do good unto people of the same faith. It is
not the case that we do good unto those who resist us, lie to God, lie to themselves
and contend. Rather, we must do good unto those who follow the Lord well. We
must serve the Lord by following the order that God has laid down in His Church.
