The Effect of the Faith Working through Love
<
Galatians 5:1-6 >
“Stand fast
therefore in the liberty by which Christ
has made us free, and do not be entangled
again with a yoke of bondage. Indeed I,
Paul, say to you that if you become circumcised,
Christ will profit you nothing. And I
testify again to every man who becomes
circumcised that he is a debtor to keep
the whole law. You have become estranged
from Christ, you who attempt to be justified
by law; you have fallen from grace. For
we through the Spirit eagerly wait for
the hope of righteousness by faith. For
in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor
uncircumcision avails anything, but faith
working through love.”
What
Was the Word That the Apostle Paul Said
to Us?
It is written
in Galatians 5:1, “Stand fast therefore
in the liberty by which Christ has made
us free, and do not be entangled again
with a yoke of bondage.” This means
that for Jesus Christ has come to free
us, so don’t ever be circumcised because
that will make you a sinner again. The
Lord has made us the children of God by
saving us from the sins of the world through
the gospel of the water and the Spirit.
The Lord gave true salvation and true
freedom to those who believe in the gospel
of the water and the Spirit. The gospel
of the water and the Spirit, which our
Lord gave us, was enough to let us become
the children of God by freeing us from
the entanglement of sin, being the servants
of sin, or being cursed by sin. We truly
became the people of God by believing
in the gospel of the water and the Spirit.
God gave us the faith of believing in
the gospel of the water and the Spirit
to make us live in His blessings. Therefore,
the Apostle Paul said to us, “Stand
fast therefore in the liberty by which
Christ has made us free, and do not be
entangled again with a yoke of bondage.”
Is there any
of you who can keep the Law of God perfectly?
The Law of God was a series of holy laws,
which exists to let us realize our fundamental
nature properly. We are not free from
all our sins by keeping the Law of God.
We have been liberated from the sins of
the world by the gospel of the water and
the Spirit that God gave us. The Lord
tells us not to be entangled with any
legalistic deeds or religious festivals
for we are liberated by the faith of believing
in the gospel of the water and the Spirit.
We
Have to Initiate Our Lives of Faith by
Believing in the Gospel of the Water and
the Spirit
It is written
in Galatians 5:2, “Indeed I, Paul,
say to you that if you become circumcised,
Christ will profit you nothing.” Paul
said, “If you become circumcised, Christ
will not profit you spiritually.” The
circumcisionists insisted that one could
be a people of God by being circumcised.
If this were the case, to be physically
circumcised would somehow be profitable
to circumcised people. But, being cleansed
of all our sins is possible only when
we believe in the gospel of the water
and the Spirit. It is the gospel that
states that Jesus Christ came to this
earth, received the baptism, shed His
blood on the Cross, and then saved us.
We are approved as the people of God through
the witness in our hearts by believing
in the gospel of the water and the Spirit.
If we try to become the descendants of
Abraham by receiving physical circumcision,
what profit would we get from Jesus, who
has delivered us from all our sins by
coming to the earth in flesh, taking the
sins of the world by receiving the baptism
at the age of 30, carrying these sins
to the Cross, shedding His blood to death,
and then rising again from the dead?
After knowing
what the physical circumcision is, we
can understand the Book of Galatians.
What were the customs of the Jewish Christians
in the Early Church age? They strictly
kept the law of circumcision. The Jews
still see the people with the marks of
circumcision, as “Oh, they are descendants
of Abraham.” So, among the Jews in the
early churches, the circumcised people
disregarded uncircumcised people because
the Jews only recognized those who had
cut off their foreskin as the people of
God. So, they practiced circumcision and
compelled others to receive circumcision,
even after they heard and believed the
true gospel in God’s Church. But, if the
people in Galatia had been able to become
the people of God by receiving physical
circumcision, then what would be the use
of the Truth that Jesus Christ came to
the earth for us and died on the Cross
by receiving the baptism from John, and
saved us by rising again from the dead?
The Apostle Paul is talking about the
uselessness of physical circumcision through
the Word in Galatians.
There were
many Jewish Christians in the churches
of Galatia, and their faith was wrong.
They compelled their fellow saints to
receive physical circumcision while they
believed in Jesus. Their harm was spiritually
serious because they compelled the new
comers of the church to believe in the
gospel of the water and the Spirit and
to receive the physical circumcision as
well. Fortunately, at this present age,
there is no one compelling the physical
circumcision on others and no one who
is willing to receive that circumcision
by such persuasion either. But, if today’s
Christianity inherited the erroneous faith
of the circumcisionists of the early churches,
the seriousness of the fallacy would be
great.
Therefore,
we need to reconsider the irrationality
of the prayers of repentance, which is
prevailing in today’s Christianity all
over the world. We are the Gentiles and
we haven’t received physical circumcision
according to the Law. Nonetheless, it
is more than enough that we have received
the remission of sins just by believing
in Jesus Christ as the Savior and the
gospel of the water and the Spirit without
being circumcised. If someone still argues,
“We have to be circumcised and offer the
prayers of repentance to receive the remission
of sins,” it is wrong.
Like the people
of the early churches in Galatia who insisted
that one had to be circumcised to be the
people of God, there are people nowadays
who claim that they have to offer prayers
of repentance to be cleansed of their
sins. If then, these people do not know
the power of the gospel of the water and
the Spirit. These people will remain as
wicked men before God. These days, the
faith of those who advocate the prayers
of repentance is wrong. It is because
that is untrue teaching, which makes the
Lord-given gospel of the water and the
Spirit good for nothing. If we receive
the remission of sins through prayers
of repentance, it is just the same as
claiming it as a useless truth that Jesus
has saved us by coming to this earth,
receiving the baptism, dying on the Cross,
and rising again from the dead.
Those who are
relying on the prayers of repentance believe
that their sins will be blotted out if
they themselves offer prayers of repentance.
Such people have to ask themselves again,
“What is the salvation that the Lord gave
us through the gospel of the water and
the Spirit?” The Lord gave us the gospel
Truth of the water and the Spirit. If
we do not believe in the Truth of the
water and the Spirit, there may be no
spiritual profit for us.
Can
We Cleanse Our Sins If We Offer Prayers
of Repentance?
The prayers
of repentance do not cleanse our daily
sins. Then, how do our sins fundamentally
disappear? All the sins of world are blotted
out once and for all by the faith of believing
in the gospel Truth of the water and the
Spirit. Then, there might be the question
of how the sins, which we have committed
after believing in the gospel of the water
and the Spirit, are cleansed? As such,
we are encountered with the question,
“Is there any truth, besides the prayers
of repentance, that can blot out even
the sins we commit after believing in
Jesus?”
But, the reality
is that most Christians don’t know the
true gospel of the water and the Spirit.
That is why they cannot help but offer
prayers of repentance if they commit sins.
But I am asserting that they should believe
in the gospel of the water and the Spirit,
which is the truth of salvation, rather
than offer prayers of repentance.
To have such
faith, we have to confess that we are
lumps of sin that cannot help but to commit
sins until our death. Then, we have to
profess as follows whenever we commit
sins again due to the weaknesses of our
flesh while living on this earth: “Lord,
I committed these sins. I am destined
to hell for my sins, but the Lord has
taken not only my sins but also all the
sins of the world once and for all by
receiving the baptism from John at the
Jordan River, died on the Cross, and truly
saved me by rising again from the dead.
Lord, I continue sinning like this. It
is proper that I should be sent to hell
for these sins, but You saved me once
and for all by taking these sins. I believe
in the gospel Truth of the water and the
Spirit as the genuine Truth of salvation.
I thank You for I have already been saved
from all my sins by believing in Your
baptism and the blood of the Cross.”
We have to
have this faith to communicate with the
Lord spiritually. We have to stand fast
in the faith in the Truth by confessing
our sins and by ruminating on the gospel
of the water and the Spirit by faith.
We can be saved from all iniquities by
the faith of believing in the gospel of
the water and the Spirit. We can become
free from all iniquities with such faith,
and we can be the workers of God who save
the souls of other people from their sins
with our faith. For the Lord gave us the
gospel of the water and the Spirit, our
sinless hearts came to praise God all
the time with the faith of believing in
that Truth. We are righteous because we
believe in the gospel of the water and
the Spirit, and there is no other reason.
Our sins do not go away by offering prayers
of repentance.
If our sins
disappear by offering prayers of repentance,
it is to say that Jesus Christ did nothing
for us with the gospel of the water and
the Spirit. Jesus Christ has taken our
sins once and for all by receiving the
baptism from John the Baptist, shedding
His blood to death, and rising again from
death to save us, the believers, from
all the sins, and He gave us the Holy
Spirit as a gift. If Jesus Christ did
not die on the Cross after taking our
sins by receiving the baptism from John,
our sins could never have been blotted
out. We have to believe in this Truth
because Jesus Christ has completed the
gospel Truth of the water and the Spirit,
through which He gave us the salvation
by taking our sins, as the Savior, through
receiving the baptism from John and dying
on the Cross, and by rising again from
death. Jesus Christ gave us the genuine
salvation, and we come to be sinless by
the faith of believing in the gospel of
the water and the Spirit. Therefore, we
have to clearly know that offering prayers
of repentance does not cleanse the sins
of those who are relying on it and it
does not liberate them from all the sins.
Because the
gospel of the water and the Spirit is
the genuine Truth of salvation, we are
saved from all the sins by believing it
in our hearts. The gospel of the water
and the Spirit is the promise of salvation
that God has set for us. Therefore, we
can get the true salvation if only we
believe in the gospel of the water and
the Spirit in our minds. It was Jesus
Christ who gave us the true salvation
of the remission of sins.
But if there
is anyone in the church of this New Testament
times who claims that personal sins can
be cleansed by offering the prayers of
repentance, then that person’s faith is
futile. If we try to receive the cleansing
of our sins by offering prayers of repentance,
then we will become ones who cannot get
any profit from Jesus Christ and will
be cut off and fallen from Him.
Is
There Anyone Like Them Even in These Days?
I am sure that
no one insists that one has to receive
physical circumcision to be a child of
God nowadays. However, today, there are
many people who think that to be cleansed
of their sins, they should offer prayers
of repentance everyday. It is a fact that
the doctrine of repentance is full in
the hearts of all Christians all over
the world. The doctrine of repentance
is the doctrine that tells us that we
have to receive the cleansing of sins
daily by offering prayers of repentance
after believing in Jesus. The reality
is that the doctrine of repentance is
recognized as one of the orthodox doctrines
in Christianity.
But, the doctrine
of repentance is a very erroneous doctrine.
It says one can wash away one’s personal
sins by offering prayers of repentance.
Such a faith is akin to the faith of the
circumcisionists in the early churches,
who advocated physical circumcision to
become the people of God. These are the
legalistic faiths. These people are committing
the sin of mocking the love of God and
the Truth of salvation before Him. This
very fallacious doctrine is now prevailing
over this world.
We have to
know that we receive the remission of
sins by the faith of knowing and believing
in the gospel Truth of the water and the
Spirit, which saved us from the sins of
the world. But if we were to receive the
remission of sins by doing anything, even
a little, that is not the remission of
sins, which is only attained by believing
in the God-given gospel Truth of the water
and the Spirit. It is because in the gift
of the true salvation from God, our good
deeds are not included.
The Apostle
Paul warned the saints of his days against
the circumcisonists, and his warning is
relevant to the faith of Christians today.
The Apostle Paul is saying that the doctrine
of repentance is truly wrong. The people
who have the erroneous faith of believing
in the doctrine of repentance are innumerable
among Christians around the world. It
gives my heart pain to see this reality
in present Christianity. It is because
they have a very erroneous faith.
Dear fellow
believers, you have to know how erroneous
it is to try to receive the remission
of sins through prayers of repentance
after believing in Jesus. It is evidently
different that we offer prayers of repentance
and repent our wrongdoings before God.
“Repentance” means that while we are going
the wrong way, we return to the correct
path after realizing, “This is wrong.”
However, the prayers of repentance tell
people to ask for the remission of their
sins through prayer. It tries to cleanse
one’s sins just by saying with one’s lips,
“Lord, I have made mistakes. Please forgive
me.” Therefore, it is so much wrong to
insist that one receives the remission
of sins through such prayers of repentance.
It is because that is disregarding and
overriding the love of God and the gospel
of the water and the Spirit. If we are
advocating that we receive the remission
of sins by offering prayers of repentance,
we are committing a grave sin before God.
So, we have to reject the doctrine of
repentance by understanding and discerning
it well in the gospel of the water and
the Spirit.
There
Are the People Who Still Rely on and Believe
in the Prayers of Repentance
Let us read
Galatians chapter 5 verse 3. “And I
testify again to every man who becomes
circumcised that he is a debtor to keep
the whole law.”
The Apostle
Paul said that he testified the gospel
of the water and the Spirit again to the
people who said that they had received
the proof to be God’s people by being
circumcised. He said that the circumcisionists
were debtors to keep the whole Law. A
man who was circumcised had to keep all
the 613 statutes of the Law. These people
did not even know what the 613 statutes
of the Law were, but they insisted that
they had to keep these whole Law to be
saved. As a result, they fell into confusion.
The Bible says,
“For as many as are of the works of
the law are under the curse; for it is
written, ‘Cursed is everyone who does
not continue in all things which are written
in the book of the law, to do them’” (Galatians
3:10). Anyone who keeps the Law completely
will be saved. However, no one on this
earth can keep the whole Law. That is
why the Lord said, “There is none righteous,
no, not one” (Romans3: 10). On this
account, Jesus Christ has taken our sins
through His baptism, died on the Cross,
and saved us by rising again from the
dead. As the Lord promised the believers
of the gospel of the water and the Spirit
to give the power to be the children of
God, He now gives the gifts of the remission
of sins and the salvation to them so that
they may become the children of God by
believing in this true gospel.
However, those
who try to receive the remission of sins
through prayers of repentance are just
the same as the circumcisionists. Today,
Christians worry if they do not offer
the prayers of repentance because they
believe their sins will not disappear,
and this is a very wrong doctrine. These
days, some people try to return to the
age of Law and attempt to be recognized
before God by keeping the Law, regardless
of the gospel of the water and the Spirit,
which Jesus Christ gave us. The Apostle
Paul said to such people who had legalistic
faith like this, “You have become estranged
from Christ, you who attempt to be justified
by law; you have fallen from grace” (Galatians
5:4). The Apostle Paul said that those
who try to be the people of God by performing
the Law, such as the rites, feasts, and
circumcision, are those who became estranged
from Jesus Christ. Even we who believe
in the gospel of the water and the Spirit,
if we try to be saved by keeping the Law
of God, we would become estranged from
the blessings of God. Until now, people
who try to receive the remission of sins
through prayers of repentance or receiving
the circumcision are returning the gift
of salvation, which was received from
the Lord.
In today’s
Christianity, all those who believe that
they are forgiven of their sins by offering
prayers of repentance are legalists. Those
who do not know the gospel of the water
and the Spirit are leading their religious
lives under the Law. But then, I do not
mean to say that the Law itself is wrong.
The Law of God itself is good. But we
can be saved from sin when we are born
again by believing in the gospel of the
water and the Spirit, not by keeping the
Law of God. If one tries to substitute
one’s faith in the gospel of the water
and the Spirit, which is the Truth of
God, with the faith of the man-made doctrine
of repentance, it is a wrong faith.
But, it is
pitiful that there are lots of Christians
who try to keep the Law to be saved from
sins, to become the people of God, and
to become righteous, even though they
are sinners at this point. They are like
the people who advocated and compelled
the circumcision in the churches of Galatia.
They are those who still do not know the
gift of God’s salvation for they try to
receive the remission of sins through
prayers of repentance or keeping the Law,
like the people who tried to become God’s
people by being circumcised. These people
are truly estranged from Jesus Christ.
There is a
big difference between the faith of those
who believe in the gospel of the water
and the Spirit and the faith of those
who believe only in the blood of the Cross.
People who believe in the gospel of the
water and the Spirit can receive the remission
of sins through their faith in the gospel
Truth. That is why they can live worthy
lives as the people of God by faith and
serve the Lord and the gospel. The righteous
people also serve the Lord as the members
of God’s Church and do the right works,
regardless of the Law of God. They gather
and pray for some issues, and devote themselves;
our brothers and sisters do the entrusted
tasks, even for the invisible works.
The Lord is
pleased with us because we have become
the children of God by believing in the
gospel of the water and the Spirit. It
is because the Holy Spirit is in the hearts
of those who believe in the gospel of
the water and the Spirit. Those who believe
only in the blood of the Cross misunderstand
that they have to offer prayers of repentance
for the sins they have committed after
receiving the remission of sins by believing
only in the blood of the Cross. They say
that if they do not offer prayers of repentance,
their sins cannot be forgiven. Therefore
they were sinners even before believing
in Jesus and they received the remission
of sins just at the moment of believing
in Him, and they now have sins in their
minds because of the sins they committed
thereupon. They feel uneasy because they
have sins in their hearts and are entangled
with those sins unless they offer prayers
of repentance everyday. So to speak, they
were sinners before they believed in Jesus,
who had shed His blood for their sins
on the Cross, and they are still sinners
after believing in Him. They cannot but
live as sinners until they die. Hence,
people who do not have the faith of believing
in the gospel of the water and the Spirit
will live their whole lives as sinners.
They are so different from the people
who are truly born again by believing
in the gospel of the water and the Spirit.
That is why we have to know the gospel
of the water and the Spirit. All of us
have to advocate and believe in the gospel
of the water and the Spirit.
The
Faith of Those Who Believe in the True
Gospel
The difference
of faith between the people who believe
in the gospel of the water and the Spirit
and the people who believe only in the
blood of the Cross is that great. These
two kinds of faith seem similar, but there
is a vast difference. When we see wheat
and tare in the field, they seem similar
when they are young, but when they are
grown, they are totally different. The
religionists in Christianity, who believe
only in the blood of the Cross and resort
to the prayers of repentance to be cleansed
of their sins, seem to be more sacred
and faithful in their outward appearances,
just as tares grow greener, stronger,
and bigger.
But people
who believe this way are estranged from
Christ and have fallen from the gospel
of the water and the Spirit. They have
to have a new faith that believes in the
gospel of the water and the Spirit. The
Apostle Paul is saying this now. The Apostle
Paul is repeating to the people who advocated
circumcision and to those who only assert
the blood of the Cross: “Believe in the
gospel of the water and the Spirit.”
In Luke chapter
10, a certain Samaritan bandaged the wounds
of a robbed man who fell among thieves,
using oil and wine. This represents the
gospel of the water and the Spirit, which
says that God came to this earth in the
flesh of a man and took our sins with
His flesh through the baptism He received,
shed His blood, and rose again from the
dead. When we profess that “Jesus is our
Savior,” if we mention only the blood
of the Cross, we know only one part of
His salvation. When we talk about the
death of Jesus Christ, we have to base
that Jesus Christ has taken our sins through
the baptism. We have to believe that Jesus
has died on the Cross shedding His blood
after receiving the baptism from John.
The Apostle
Paul said, “I determined not to know
anything among you except Jesus Christ
and Him crucified” (1 Corinthians 2:2).
When he said this, it included the faith
that the Lord came to the earth and took
our sins by receiving the baptism, died
on the Cross, and He rose again from the
dead. To say it accurately, the righteous
acts that Jesus had done to save us were
His birth, receiving the baptism, death,
and the resurrection. “For I determined
not to know anything among you except
Jesus Christ and Him crucified” (1 Corinthians
2:2). This passage implies the gospel
of the water and the Spirit.
Jesus had to
take all our sins to put our old selves
to death and to give us new life. That's
why Jesus Himself received the baptism
from John and shed His blood on the Cross
in our stead. Jesus Christ shed His blood
vicariously because the wages of sin is
death. Because we were the seeds of sin
from our birth, Jesus Christ shed His
blood to death after receiving our sins
by the baptism from John the Baptist.
The Bible does not talk only about the
death of the Cross. The Bible says that
the death of Jesus is effective for our
salvation only when we believe it along
with the baptism that He received from
John. We have to know and believe properly
what the Apostle Paul is saying.
The Apostle
Paul said in Galatians chapter 5 verses
5-6, “For we through the Spirit eagerly
wait for the hope of righteousness by
faith. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision
nor uncircumcision avails anything, but
faith working through love.”
The Apostle
Paul said in Galatians chapter 5 verses
5-6, “For we through the Spirit eagerly
wait for the hope of righteousness by
faith. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision
nor uncircumcision avails anything, but
faith working through love.” He declared,
“For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision
nor uncircumcision avails anything, but
faith working through love.” For
the Lord so loved us, He received the
baptism, which blotted out all our sins,
died on the Cross, and saved us by rising
again from the dead. That is why the faith
that He gave, the salvation through love
that has come by the gospel of the water
and the Spirit, is the only important
thing; neither circumcision nor uncircumcision
is of any significance. So what effect
is there whether or not the people offer
prayers of repentance to God?
The
Ministry of Salvation That the Lord Worked
for Us
The Apostle
Paul said, “But faith working through
love” (Galatians 5:6). For
God so loved the world, as well as you,
that Jesus came to this earth, received
the baptism, and saved us from the sins
of the world by rising again from the
dead. That was the love of God. God gave
us such a gift of salvation because He
loved us. God has suffered His 33 years
of life to give us that gift. That is
why the Apostle Paul said neither circumcision
nor uncircumcision is anything. It is
nothing whether or not we received circumcision
before God. Whether or not we received
circumcision, that deed avails nothing.
God said that the most precious thing
is only the salvation, which works through
His love. The faith of believing that
God made us His children and loves us,
by blotting out our sins with the gospel
Truth of the water and the Spirit, is
the faith that allows us to be the children
of God and the workers of God's righteousness.
That is why
the Apostle Paul said, “For we through
the Spirit eagerly wait for the hope of
righteousness by faith” (Galatians
5:5). The Holy Spirit is in the hearts
of those who have received the remission
of sins by believing in the gospel of
the water and the Spirit. It is written
that they eagerly wait for the hope of
righteousness by faith. Only such a person
has the hope to live truly in the Kingdom
of righteousness.
You have to
know how evil it is to say that one has
to offer prayers of repentance to receive
the cleansing of sins after believing
in Jesus. Many people think offering prayers
of repentance is good, but it is truly
an evil doctrine. Saying that we receive
the remission of sins through the prayers
of repentance nullifies the grace of God
thoroughly. The reason why people cannot
return to the gospel of the water and
the Spirit is because they misunderstand
the prayers of repentance. And they cannot
return to the Lord even if they wanted
to. Although we preach the gospel of the
water and the Spirit to them, they harbor
ill feelings against us saying, "Then,
wouldn't you offer prayers of repentance
anymore for you are sinless?"
We, the righteous
who have been born again by believing
in the gospel of the water and the Spirit,
do not offer prayers of repentance, but
we offer prayers of confession. Do we,
the righteous people, offer prayers of
confession, or not? Do we admit our wrongdoings
after committing sins? Aren't we able
to receive the cleanness before God if
we do not confess them?
If we make
mistakes before God, we have to admit
them. All of us have to be liberated from
our sins by believing in the God-given
gospel of the water and the Spirit. Even
though God did the work of blotting out
our sins once and for all in the eternal
dimension, we still make mistakes everyday.
Do you agree, or not? We are deficient
people. But is it true that the Lord saved
us by the gospel love of the water and
the Spirit? By believing in this Truth,
we confess our sins and offer prayers
of confession whenever we make mistakes
before God like this: "God, I have
committed this sin. I was destined to
hell and I had to be judged for this sin,
but the Lord made me truly sinless by
taking all my sins through receiving the
baptism and dying on the Cross. All my
sins have been passed to Jesus Christ
because the Lord had taken them by receiving
the baptism. I can truly receive the remission
of sins because all my sins have passed
to the Lord when He was baptized. Therefore
I do not have sins. I became a righteous
man because of the Lord. I became one
of God's people because of the Lord. I
became a sinless man because of the Lord."
We can do this
confession of true faith and love. We
can praise the Lord saying, "I am
saved because of You. I became Your people
because of Your love. I became a righteous
man because of Your grace. I became a
person who has nothing to do with sin
because of Your salvation and thus, I
can do righteous works. Everything has
gone well because of You." We can
thank God and praise Him as such.
The true salvation
is like this. He loved us first. He took
our sins entirely through the baptism
and completely saved us through His crucifixion,
and therefore, we received the remission
of sins by believing in this. We would
not be able to receive the remission of
sins if He did not save us completely
and perfectly. He is our Savior. He has
saved us with His righteous acts unilaterally,
and His salvation does not require any
other supplement from us because it has
been planned and completed by the Omnipotent
God. He is the one who helps us and gives
us the power. He is the giver of true
salvation, but we are not the ones who
help Him. Is this true or not? Don't you
agree? That we could live well until now
is because He has helped us, loved us,
and remitted our sins. Because of believing
in that love, we are His people and we
can live by following Him. We can live
under the shadow of His love receiving
His protection and blessings. For He loved
us, He gave us the power and He made us
live righteously. We are living blessed
lives by inheriting all heavenly blessings
because He has blotted out all our sins.
It is written,
“For of Him and through Him and to
Him are all things, to whom be glory forever.
Amen” (Romans 11:36). We are from
the Lord and we will return to Him. Is
it so, or not? The power of doing immeasurable
works is in Jesus Christ. No one can perceive
the secret of God’s gospel of the water
and the Spirit without the help of God.
My fellow believers,
can we help God because we are excellent?
We are nothing before Him. God is our
helper. We have to clearly understand
this. That’s why the Apostle Paul said,
“I can do all things through Christ
who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).
We do the works of God because He
gave us the strength, but if He didn’t,
what could we do? We have received the
salvation by faith because God gave us
the salvation, but if He didn’t, how could
we receive the salvation? Can we receive
salvation just with our devoted beliefs?
Can we receive salvation by offering prayers
of repentance well or being circumcised?
Or, can we receive salvation by keeping
the Law very well? It does not make any
sense.
Only
the Gospel of the Water and the Spirit
Is the Genuine Truth
There are many
doctrines in Christianity, but the gospel
Truth of the water and the Spirit is the
only genuine Truth of salvation. There
can be no other gospel Truth except the
gospel of the water and the Spirit. For
God, a day can be billions of years. It
is because He is living in an eternal
dimension, and He controls that eternal
time by staying in it. He is our God.
As we know, the works that He has done
are so great; we cannot feel it with our
senses.
Man can hear
only a limited range of sounds. In other
words, the audible range of man is confined
within narrow limits. Therefore, it is
very reckless for a mere man to try to
get to know the profound works of God
while he cannot even hear the sound of
the earth rotating. We just have to believe
in His Word as it is when He says that
He made all the things of the universe
in 6 days of His time dimension. Don’t
you conclude after calculating and say,
“How can He make the whole world only
within 6 days? It is not possible to make
even a chair in one day.” Of course, for
even a professional carpenter, it is impossible
for him to finish making this pulpit in
one day. But God is not a limited being.
He is the Omnipotent and Omniscient God.
So, we should not oppose God with our
limited thoughts, conceptions, and theories.
Today’s Christians,
who only believe in the blood of the Cross,
say that if people offer prayers of repentance
and ignore the gospel Truth of the water
and the Spirit, their sins will disappear.
This is just the same as the people who
assert the theory of evolution. Will our
sins disappear if we offer prayers of
repentance? No, they won’t. Because they
do not know the God-given gospel of the
water and the Spirit, they try to soothe
their consciences with any kind of doctrine.
Don’t they think that they have to do
something when they commit sins? That
is why they make this kind of doctrine
and teach it to the people. Then, this
will be accepted to those who do not know
the Truth, and they cannot go anywhere
except to stay in the church of swindlers
because offering prayers of repentance
seems to be the only way to resolve the
oppression of their sins.
Such a church
tells the people who commit sins everyday
to serve the church by giving lots of
offerings as the compensation for their
sins while passing the offering basket
everyday. Then, a person who committed
a lot of sins serves the church by paying
lots of offerings. We, who are born again
of water and the Spirit, do not serve
the Lord in that way to receive the remission
of sins, but we serve Him because we thank
Him for saving us. We serve Him to let
other people know the Truth that God saved
them with the gospel of the water and
the Spirit. There is an absolute difference.
The Apostle
Paul said, “Neither circumcision nor
uncircumcision avails anything, but faith
working through love” (Galatians 5:6).
For God so loved us, He had saved
all of us by coming to this earth Himself,
receiving the baptism, shedding His blood
to death on the Cross, and rising again
from the dead. We became the receivers
of the salvation by faith. My fellow
believers, do you agree? Don’t only be
aware of this theoretically. I hope you
believe these words rather than pretend
you are smart, lest it will cause you
to go to hell one day. If the messenger
from hell comes and says, “Let’s go. Let’s
go to hell,” then you would say, “No.
I have to go to Heaven. I am one of God’s
people. Go away Satan.” “What are you
talking about, you a servant of Satan?
Those who have sins in their heart will
go to hell with me.” And He will bring
you to hell. No matter how strongly one
may persist that he is one of God’s people,
he can never be God’s as long as he has
sin in his heart.
My fellow believers,
you should not deceive your conscience
of faith if you are to profess Jesus Christ
as the Savior. At least you have to confess
clearly whether you have sin in your heart
or not. Only evil things will be left
for Christians if we exclude the faith
of believing in the gospel of the water
and the Spirit. But, you have to be honest
before God and your conscience. Man’s
honesty and dishonesty is revealed if
we believe in the gospel of the water
and the Spirit, which is the gift of God’s
love.
The heart of
the Apostle Paul was torn into pieces
while he was writing the epistle, the
Book of Galatians. Even though the Apostle
Paul warned the saints of the wickedness
of the circumcisionists several times,
some of them were circumcised because
the circumcisionists still compelled them
to receive physical circumcision to be
saved. That is why the Apostle Paul felt
agony. Because people claimed that only
those who had received circumcision were
the people of God, he could not but write
this epistle and say, “Neither circumcision
nor uncircumcision avails anything, but
faith working through love.” But they
still did not listen to him. That is why
after the Apostle Paul died, the 7 churches
in Asia disappeared without any trace.

I think the
churches of God these days are the same.
The reason I shout the gospel of the water
and the Spirit everyday is that if I do
not preach the gospel clearly, we will
disappear like the churches in Galatia.
Some people are trying to make the others
stand on their side by doing nice things
for them. And they stand against God’s
servants, saying, “I already know about
it. It is enough now. Stop pretending
to be so clever. Yes, you are so smart,
OK? We also know that much. I believe
so, too. I have heard more than enough
of it.” If people start taking sides saying,
“This person is on my side and that person
is on your side. Yours is yours and mine
is mine,” then the servants of God and
the faith in the gospel of the water and
the Spirit would be in chaos and the spreading
of the gospel of God’s Church would come
to a quick end. I believe that you do
not want this to happen.
I wish for
the church of God to preach the gospel
of the water and the Spirit until the
last day of this world. It is nearly time
for the Lord to come.
If there is
no church of God or if it does not preach
the gospel of the water and the Spirit,
the world is hopeless. Therefore, we have
to preach the gospel with our whole strength
for we are destined to serve the gospel
before God. It is right for many people
to accept the gospel of the water and
the Spirit if the lesson that God’s church
preaches is true. There is no better gospel
than the gospel of the water and the Spirit.
This Truth is needed for all the people
around the world and it is also needed
by youyou also need it.
My fellow believers,
many of you might not perceive that offering
prayers of repentance is wrong. If we
still believe that our sins will disappear
by prayers of repentance, it means that
we have nullified all the love of God,
which saved us from our sins by the gospel
of the water and the Spirit. Therefore,
we have to know that the faith of trying
to receive the remission of sins through
prayers of repentance is wrong. And we
have to believe in the gospel of the water
and the Spirit as our true salvation and
the love of God. We also have to live
to save the souls of other people with
thankful hearts.
I am sure that
all of you now believe in the gospel of
the water and the Spirit, and will defend
that faith in your heart.
