Why did Jesus sacrifice Himself on the Cross?
The sacrifice of Jesus was for
our sins that had been taken away through His baptism. He
gave us His flesh to pay for our sins so that we could be
set free from the punishment for all our sins.
What we have to know is that
Jesus was baptized in the Jordan to take away all our sins.
We have to believe that Jesus died on the Cross for this reason.
If Jesus had not been baptized
before He was crucified and if He Had not died on the Cross,
all our sins would have remained. Therefore, we must believe
in both the baptism and the blood of Jesus. Because Jesus
is the Son of God, the sacrificial Lamb, He was sacrificed
to blot out all our sins.
We should all believe that Jesus
is the Son of God, that He was baptized to take away all the
sins of the world, and that He was crucified for our sins.
Jesus was baptized to take away all our sins, then was crucified
so that we, the sinners, could be saved from all our sins
and be free of punishment.
